The Museum of Fine Art and Lacework showcases superb lace collections including Italian, Flemish and French lace (Le Puy, Chantilly, Valenciennes, Bayeux). Needless to say, local production and the famous Alençon stitch take pride of place. The Fine Art section features paintings from the 17C-19C French school (Phillipe de Champaigne, Fantin-Latour, Courbet).
