Museum
The Michelin Guide's review
This museum showcases the work of early to late Renaissance painters along with, among others, Flemish painters from the 17C and 18C (Rubens, Rembrandt) and Italian artists. There are sections dedicated to the French schools of the 17C and 19C (Philippe de Champaigne, the Le Nain brothers, Rigaud), the Aix-born artist Claude Arnulphy, and Provençal artists Mignard and Puget. The Granet room pays homage to the painter of the same name, as well as to Ingres. The museum also focuses on 20C art through its "From Cézanne to Giacometti" collection.
